Byte Night website reboots for 2009
Date posted: 2009-06-01

13th May saw the official launch of the new website for Byte Night 2009. The website has already seen a number of teams register their participation in this year's sleep out.

Byte Night, which takes place this year on 2nd October, is the IT industry's annual sleep out in support of Action for Children, one of the UK's largest children's charities supporting over 178,000 children, young people and families. After client recommendations, Wilson Miller was officially appointed as the marketing agency for the annual fundraiser earlier this year.

The successful launch of the website signals the start of the pre-event promotional activity for this year's event, taking place in five locations across the UK. Wilson Miller has helped encapsulate the Action for Children 'as long as it takes” message, with a compelling campaign combining both online and offline elements.

'Wilson Miller is offering its marketing expertise to the teams taking part this year by personalising the fundraising pack and toolkit, including intranet content. This will ensure that the teams taking part have the best opportunity to raise as much money as possible for Byte Night', commented Wilson Miller director Andrew Miller.

Asides from the opportunity to support Action for Children, IT professionals will have the opportunity to meet some of the industry's big players. Companies such as Avaya, Citrix, Computer Associates, Dell, Ernst & Young, Intel, HP, Micro Focus, The Talk Talk Group and VeriSign are just some of the many companies taking part in Byte Night.
